Typhoon Haiyan continues to rapidly intensify as it nears the islands of Palau and Yap. Heavy rains, strong winds, and high waves will batter the said islands over the next 12 hours. Haiyan will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility later tonight and will be given a local name of Bagyong Yolanda by PAGSA.
Typhoon Haiyan is forecast to make landfall possibly in Samar by early Friday morning as a powerful Super Typhoon. If you are in Visayas, please heed the warnings of your local officials and start preparing now!
